Paris. Milan. New York. Bernardsville?

The well-dressed woman looking for cutting edge fashion can check her passport at the doors of Seraphina Couture and Seraphina Casual, located on Mine Brook Road in the heart of downtown Bernardsville.

Formerly known as Epitome, Seraphina Couture recently completed a transition to its new identity with the unveiling of new signage and expansion to space next door for Seraphina Casual, a full line of everyday designer wear.

After extensive consultation with business and marketing experts, owner Pam Hendricks made the choice to change her shop’s name, after nearly ten years as Epitome. “Our new name, Seraphina Couture, better reflects the style and sophistication of our clients,” Pam said.  “With our expansion to a whole new line of fashion at Seraphina Casual, we help women get the wardrobe they’ve always wished for.”

Pam and her staff of fashion experts are what set Seraphina Couture apart. With two buying trips to Paris and the fashion showrooms of New York every year, clients can be assured that the style, quality and fit they find at Seraphina are second to none. “We know our clients quite well,” Pam said, “and we often have certain women in mind when we do our buying. That’s the personal touch only our expertise can provide.”

In addition, Pam  brought her education background in retail merchandising and business marketing along with more than a dozen years working in the corporate buying offices of Liz Claiborne and Ann Taylor to her retail endeavor. Pam’s right hand at Seraphina, Petra Nicholson-Roesner, has a keen eye, adding a European sensibility to the shop and keeping on top of the Vogue trends from France and Italy.

Tailored to the fashion needs of women from 15 to 65, Seraphina Couture has something for what you’re looking for, whether it’s for the workday, the everyday or that special day.  “Seraphina strives to give our clients a wardrobe that they are not going to see on everyone else,” Pam explains. “We pick unique fabrics and beautiful pieces of quality fashion so that a woman feels special when she walks into a room.”

Wearable fashion from Diane Von Furstenburg and Marc Jacobs blends seamlessly with runway designs from Vanessa Bruno, Phillip Lim and Hanii Y to create an eclectic collection that works for an elegant evening affair or for the fashion-savvy mother on the run.

Seraphina Couture and Seraphina Casual are open Monday through Saturday from 10-5:30, late on Thursdays till 7 p.m. and by appointment on Sundays from 12 to 4. Personal shopping services are also available upon request. Call 696-1997 for details.

Pam and her team are hard at work planning Seraphina Couture’s tenth anniversary in the Fall. For updates on upcoming events or to join the mailing list, you can stop by the shop at 17 Mine Brook Road in Bernardsville, or visit their web site, www.SeraphinaCouture.com.
